Privacy policy.
Updated 2 November 2026.
Repri is a Windows app that shows a "dynamic island" at the top of your screen. This policy explains what Repri reads on your PC and what it keeps. In short: Repri has no account, no ads, no analytics, and sends nothing about you over the internet. It downloads only what you ask for: a calendar link you paste, the forecast for the city you set, a picture you drag in from a web page, and a link's logo from that website (you can turn logos off); plus YouTube's icon, once, the first time you play YouTube in a browser. The Microsoft Store version asks the Microsoft Store whether you own Repri Pro. If you give a break action a web link, Repri tells that link when a break starts and ends. Sending things between your phone and PC stays on your own Wi-Fi.
What Repri reads, and why
| What | Why | Kept? |
|---|---|---|
| Clipboard contents (text, images, file paths) and items you drop on the island | To show them on the Shelf so you can copy them again | In memory only, until you quit. Never written to disk by Repri. |
| Windows Clipboard History | To refill the Shelf when Repri starts | Not copied anywhere. History and any cloud sync are handled by Windows under Microsoft's privacy statement, if you turned them on. |
| A picture you drag from a web page onto the island | Repri downloads the picture from the address the page gives, to keep it on the Shelf | In memory only, like the rest of the Shelf |
| Links on the Shelf (only with Settings → Shelf → Site logos on links) | To show a link's logo, fetched from that website itself (the icons its home page names), never through an icon service | In memory only |
| What you send between your phone and PC (Shelf → Send to phone, Get from phone) | Repri runs a page on this PC, reachable only on your own Wi-Fi, for up to 10 minutes, at an address with a random key that only its QR code shows. Nothing goes through the internet. | What the phone sends goes onto the Shelf and your clipboard, and photos and files into your Downloads folder. Repri keeps no other copy. |
| Your Screenshots folder | To show your 3 latest screenshots | Thumbnails in memory only |
| Windows notifications (only in "In the island" mode, after you allow access) | To show new notifications at the top instead of as Windows pop-ups. Repri turns those apps' pop-ups off and turns them back on when you switch back or quit. | Not kept: only the one on screen, in memory |
| The city you set for the Weather widget | To show the weather on Home | The city and its coordinates are kept in Repri's settings file. Only the coordinates are sent, to open-meteo.com, about every 30 minutes while the Weather widget is on Home; the city name goes to Open-Meteo's place search once when you set it. |
| Downloaded Home widgets (only ones you install) | Each widget reads the one web address it names (shown in the widget picker) while it's on Home | Widgets are kept in Repri's app data folder; what they read is kept in memory only |
| Questions you type in Agents → Ask | Handed to the assistant you pick: the Claude app or claude.ai, chatgpt.com, or Claude Code in a terminal. From then on that service's own privacy policy applies. | Not kept by Repri |
| Claude Code events (only if you connect it in Settings → Agents) | To show its permission prompts and updates, and send back your Allow / Deny or reply | Sent only between Claude Code and Repri on this PC (127.0.0.1); not stored |
| What's playing (title, artist, artwork) and the sound being played | Now-playing controls and the visualizer. Audio is analysed live and never recorded. | Not stored |
| The playing app's icon, and its window titles when it's a browser | To show which app or site (e.g. YouTube) the music is in, and bring that window to the front | Not stored, except the YouTube icon, saved in Repri's app data folder |
| Paired Bluetooth devices: name, type, whether they're connected, battery level | To show when headphones and other devices connect, and their battery | Not stored |
| How busy the processor, memory and network are, the sound outputs, and Windows' light or dark mode | For the CPU, Memory, Network, Sound and Control Center widgets | Not stored |
| Whether you own Repri Pro (Microsoft Store version) | To open the Shelf, Wellness, Focus and Agents. Buying Pro and redeeming a code happen in the Microsoft Store and on Microsoft's own pages, under Microsoft's privacy statement. | Repri keeps only the day its free trial started, in Windows' registry (HKCU\Software\Repri) |
| Whether an app is using your microphone or camera, or recording or sharing your screen (from Windows' own record of this, and OBS Studio's log) | To show the privacy dot, and pause breaks during calls and screen recordings | Not stored |
| Which app is in front (its program name only) | To pause breaks while you're in one of the focus apps you picked | Not stored. The apps you pick are kept in Repri's settings file. |
| Break actions you set (a script, app, shortcut or web link) | Run as a break starts and as it ends. A web link is sent only the event, the kind of break and its length. | Kept in Repri's settings file |
| Calendar events from calendars added to Windows, and from calendar links you paste | To show your day on Home, give a heads-up before meetings and pause breaks during them | Events in memory only. The links you paste are kept in Repri's settings file on your PC. |
| A picture of your screen at the moment a break starts | Blurred as the break-screen background | In memory only, discarded when the break ends |
| Keyboard and mouse activity timing (not what you type) | To pause break timers when you're away | Not stored |
Copies that password managers mark as private are ignored.
What Repri stores on your PC
- Your settings, including any calendar links you paste, your note, the world-clock cities and your shortcuts.
- Your task list (tasks.json); finished tasks are removed after 60 days.
- Daily wellness counts (screen time, breaks taken, glasses of water, stretches), kept for 60 days.
- An error log with no clipboard or notification content.
These stay in Repri's app data folder on your PC. Uninstalling the Microsoft Store version removes them.
Sharing
Repri does not sell, share or transmit any data. Its only network requests download the calendar links you paste (every 15 minutes), straight from your calendar provider; YouTube's or YouTube Music's icon from youtube.com, once, the first time you play from them in a browser; if you use the Weather widget, the forecast for your city's coordinates from open-meteo.com; a picture you drag in from a web page, from the address that page gives; and, unless you turn site logos off, a Shelf link's logo from that link's own website. The Microsoft Store version asks the Store whether you own Repri Pro. If you give a break action a web link, Repri sends that link, and nothing else, the break's start or end, its kind and its length. Sending to or from your phone uses only your local network, never the internet. Nothing else is uploaded.
